An enamel sign is made using vitreous enamel. originally crafted in the mid 1800 to 1950.
The process is a method of fusing porcelain in the form of powdered glass onto steel plates. Colours were added by hand stencilling. The signs were then heated to an extremely high temperature making it weatherproof, durable, vibrant, and attractive.
